These terms govern your use of Hola Clarita, including Foundations lessons, accounts, AI-powered coach practice, subscriptions, and billing.
Using Hola Clarita
- Hola Clarita is a Spanish learning product with Foundations lessons, checks, repair, module practice, and AI-assisted coach practice.
- You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or copy the service at scale, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or use it for unlawful purposes.
- You may use Hola Clarita only if you can legally agree to these terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Learning and AI limitations
- Clarita is a learning assistant. AI responses may be imperfect, incomplete, delayed, or occasionally wrong.
- The service is designed for language learning and is not a substitute for professional advice. Do not use it for emergencies, legal, medical, financial, immigration, safety-critical, or other sensitive decisions.
- You are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use any AI-generated explanations, corrections, translations, or practice responses.
- We may change lesson content, repair behavior, AI models, and practice features as the product improves.
Plans, billing, renewals, and cancellation
- Free accounts include access to the Foundations course with limited monthly coach credits or usage.
- Pro provides more monthly coach credits for AI coach practice, subject to fair-use and abuse-prevention limits.
- Paid billing is handled by Stripe. Prices, trial terms if any, renewal dates, billing interval, and taxes are shown during checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage billing from Account where available.
- Downgrades or cancellations may take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise during checkout or account management.
- Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us or Stripe at the time of purchase.
Credits, limits, and abuse prevention
- AI-powered coach usage may be measured through credits, monthly limits, rate limits, or similar controls.
- Limits may change as the product, costs, and abuse-prevention needs change. We will try to keep plan descriptions reasonably clear and current.
- We may throttle, suspend, or restrict accounts that attempt to bypass limits, automate excessive usage, share access improperly, or create operational risk.
Content and ownership
- Hola Clarita, Clarita, course content, interface design, branding, and related materials are owned by the service operator or licensors.
- You keep ownership of text and content you submit, but you grant us permission to process it to operate, secure, support, analyze, and improve the service.
- Do not submit content that violates rights, contains harmful material, or includes sensitive information you do not want processed by service providers.
- You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or create competing datasets or products from Hola Clarita content except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
Privacy and communications
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information, including cookies, analytics, AI-powered coach practice data, billing, transactional email, and optional marketing email.
- By using the service, you agree that we may send transactional emails such as account confirmations, magic links, password resets, billing notices, and important service updates.
- If you opt in to marketing emails, we may send lesson tips, onboarding guidance, product updates, reminders, and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime. Transactional emails may still be sent when needed to operate the service.
Availability and changes
- We aim to provide a reliable learning experience, but the service may be interrupted, changed, limited, or discontinued.
- We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
- We may release, modify, or remove features, content, plans, prices, credits, or integrations as the product evolves.
Account suspension and termination
- You may delete your account from Account where available or contact us for help.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk, misuse free/pro resources, interfere with the service, or expose us or others to legal or security risk.
- After termination, some information may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy or as required for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, or backup reasons.
Disclaimers and liability
- The service is provided as-is and as-available to the extent permitted by law.
- We do not guarantee that Hola Clarita will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, or that it will meet every learning goal.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, or learning outcomes.
- Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
